As a cultural facility for the town, the library organises numerous author readings, elaborate major events such as the fairy tale days, youth book days and the “Story Advent Calendar” every year. Also popular are the public reading sessions, the thematic readings, the various holiday activities as well as guided tours of the library and research mornings.

In this connection, the Town and District Library invites teachers, educators and other persons in charge as well as those who are interested to come with their classes or groups for a conducted tour of our tradition-rich rooms. This round tour serves mainly to enable people to get to know the library and its extensive resources. At the same time essential procedures such as registration and the borrowing procedure are explained.

The staffmembers of the Town and District Library are always ready to help with arranging appointments.
